ST AUGUSTIN
A very popular area for all European holiday makers.
The lake is a 7 hectares retired quarry of 10 plus years. This private secluded lake will be a top fishing and premier private holiday venue in France once the building construction has finished.
St Augustin will be an exclusive holiday destination due to the quiet and peace of the area. St Augustin will be based on calm and seclusion with an emphasis on calm. Due to the limited number of clients this will be an ideal venue also for non-anglers.
New private houses (max 7) will be built on one side of the lake with a large lodge/main house overlooking the venue. The lodge will be used for special dining, saunas, BBQ’s and other regular planned events. Other services will be a steam room and a massage/health parlor.
A fishing shop and a dock for boats will complete the initial building work which is expected to completed by late 2009’.
The lake at present is totally secured and has a hard surface ring road running around the edge of the lake.
The lake is now open for fishing for bivvy or holiday visitors to the area on a strictly reservation only basis.
Local accommodation in the way of caravans, mobile homes, apartments, houses and chalets are available all year.
About St Augustin
The lake covers around 7 hectares and has a depth of 14m in the middle.
Exterior owned land covers a further 30 hectares of mainly forest.
A very deep lake which drops of at your feet at 1m out it will be up to 2-3m!
The water clarity is very clear and possibly drinkable. It is possible to see your hooked fish 2m down.
Reeds surround most of the lake so small boat access would be ideal for certain types of fishing.
At this time only a few places are easily fishable from the bank. This assures plenty of space between anglers.
A number of bars and high points create fish holding areas away from the bank at one end of the lake.
At this time the present stock of fish include Black Bass - 6 lb, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Carassin (kind of Crucian carp), Carp to 9kg/20lb and some Trout.
Future stock fish of Quality will be added in the way of bigger and more Carp, Big sturgeon, Trout and maybe some Pike as this would make a perfect predator water.
The lake is open for fishing now to a very limited number of anglers. Open all year. Fishing is by reservation only.
Accommodation units are available for purchase or timeshare. Full time security and maintenance will be on site.
